Top Android games of 2017

Android games seems to hit new heights every year. With the release of Android Nougat t only stands to get better and better over time. This is a roundup of best Android games of 2017. Here is a small compilation of a few of our favourite games (role-playing, platforming, sports, and more), currently available in the market.

Clash of Clans

Clash of Clans is an online multiplayer game in which players build a community , train troops, and attack other players to earn gold, elixir and Dark Elixir. There are four currencies or resources in the game. Gold and elixir can be used to build and reload defenses that protect the player from other players' attacks. Elixir and dark elixir are also used to train and upgrade troops and spells. Gems are the premium currency. Attacks are rated on a three-star scale and have a maximum timed length of three minutes.

Shadow Fight 2

Shadow Fight 2 is a 2D fighting game in which players must win the majority of 3 matches against computer-controlled opponents. The game also has RPG elements that let players upgrade their Armor, weapons, skills and magic. The game's characters are entirely silhouettes, but the animations are realistic and physics-based. The player earns gold throughout the game that can be used to buy weapons. It contains 6 different worlds, each with a main boss. The player can only play up to 5 fights before their energy must be replenished, which can only be done by waiting, paying real money, or watching a limited number of ads.

Asphalt Xtreme

The video game features a line-up of rally cars, monster trucks and a vast amount of snowy tracks and dirt. The visual interface, angular camera view and vehicular design of the game have a strong visual resemblance to the Motor Storm video game series. While the controls are the same as the previous Asphalt games, the nitro mechanics are different. Normally, there are three nitro "Segments", and using Extra nitro booster, the number of segments are increased to four. Perfect nitro is renamed as long nitro. Triple nitro activates all three or four bars at the same time for added speed. When the race starts, the vehicles are given 2 nitro segments. The vehicle game-play mechanics also have an effect on the game. Lighter vehicles like buggies and rally cars are in general aerodynamic and will pull off aerial stunts easily, while heavier vehicles like trucks and SUVs struggle to perform the same task and will also gain less boost as a result.

Badland

The player flies around a little black creature named Clony through the woods of the game. Beginning in Day 1, the game progresses through four stages which consist of Dawn, Noon, Dusk, and Night, each with a separate color scheme and new theme of traps. As the player goes through Day 1, egg shaped machines begin to come out of the water of the background. Heading into night, the machines begin to turn on and the game becomes harder as the machines become part of the dangers of the forest. Eventually the character succeeds in disabling the machines and the machines become dormant once again, until Day 2 begins it all over. Most of Day 2 is similar in plot structure, but smaller octopus-like machines begin to make themselves known and the animals in the forest begin to disappear. The last level includes saving a rabbit that was hanging by its foot and eventually coming to fly in front of a giant eye of one of the machines, leaving a cliff-hanger into possible future updates.

Injustice 2

Injustice 2 retains numerous gameplay mechanics from Injustice: Gods Among Us, including environment interaction, stage transitions, clashes, and character traits. The trait system, like before, provides a temporary buff or ability that compliments each character's playstyle. The super meter, which allows players to execute enhanced special moves and unlock powerful "super moves" when fully charged, also returns. Players can expend meter to perform new techniques, such as an evasive forward roll, which provides a way to overcome enemy keep-away tactics, or an air recovery, which lets characters escape an opponent's combo early. Most environmental attacks, which were completely unavoidable in the first Injustice game.

Clash Royale

Clash Royale is a freemium mobile tower rush video game developed and published by Supercell. The game combines elements from collectible card games, tower defences, and multiplayer online battle arena. In Clash Royale, players are ranked by their level and trophy count. The highest level is thirteen, with players levelling up by gaining more experience points through donating or upgrading cards. Trophies are won and lost through multiplayer battles; a player wins a battle by destroying more towers than the opponent or by destroying the opponent's King's Tower, resulting in an automatic "three-crown" victory.

Review on Battery Saving Apps on Android

While smartphones are considerably getting more advanced, it can seem as though battery life is one of the areas where the improvement is not so great or so frequent. It truly is difficult to find an application that actually saves you battery since most battery saver measures are manual, including turning the brightness on your screen down and turning down the frequency that apps sync data. Which means for many, daily battery usage remains an issue. However, there are a few apps that can help out so let’s check out the best battery saver apps for Android.

Clean Master (Boost & AppLock)

Clean Master is a very well-known Android app supplier and Clean Master (Boost & AppLock) is another very commonly downloaded app. Which means you can expect a very polished and thorough app here. Not to mention, this is another app which comes with a ton of additional features, so as well as helping to keep your battery clean, this one will also help to keep your smartphone clean in general.

Greenify

Greenify is one of the most popular battery saving apps. It identifies apps that wake up your phone more frequently. It can also help keep them from doing that so often. The app also has modern features for Android Nougat and beyond with Aggressive Doze and Doze modes. This app is useful for both root and non-root devices. However, you'll get more functionality and power with root. All of the features are free. There is an optional donate version that runs for ₹ 50 if you want to support development.

360 Battery Plus

Most of the apps that are designed to improve battery life take a ‘monitoring’ approach and 360 Battery is no different. This one looks to monitor what is happening on your smartphone and provide information back to you so you can better control the levels of battery usage and consumption. This one also comes loaded with other present modes which you can apply and let the app do all the work – including instantly killing battery-thirsty apps before they even launch in the background.

ShutApp – Real Battery Saver

Closing out the list today is an app which takes a much simpler approach to improving battery life. As the name suggests, ShutApp is all about the shutting down of apps as a way to prolong the battery. So whether this is shutting down apps which consume a lot of immediate battery or shutting down those which consumer battery over a long period (by running in the background), ShutApp will shut those apps down for you.

GSam Battery Monitor

GSam Battery Monitor is another popular battery saver app. It won't do anything to save you battery life on its own. However, it can provide you with information about the apps draining your battery. You can use that information to improve your own battery life. It can show details on wakelocks, wake time, and even CPU and sensor data. It faced some difficulties with the latest versions of Android. However, there is a root companion that can deliver additional information if you have root. It's pretty good for what it is.

DU Battery Saver – Power Saver

DU Battery Saver seems to be a very popular app among Android users and the Google Play Store listing even states that the app has over 400 million users. So if you would like an app which has been tried and tested by a fairly sizeable number of users, then this might be the one to go for. As well as the various tweaks to improve battery life (including a one-click option and pre-set modes), this one also comes with a ‘phone cooler’ feature for added hardware protection.

Review on Xiaomi Redmi 4

Hi Everyone, heard about Redmi 4? Because Today I gonna review on Xiaomi Redmi 4 which was on May 2017.

Three years after the company started selling in Indian market with each budget smartphone, the company sets new benchmarks in terms of value for money offering as well as sales figures.

After the huge success of Redmi Note 4 and Redmi 4A, the company has recently launched Redmi 4. Apart from being an iterative upgrade, the Redmi 4 packs in a fingerprint sensor this time around and comes in three memory variants. Can Redmi 4 will offer a great value-for-money smartphone and hit new sales records? Let’s find out in this review.

Display
The Redmi 4 has a 5-inch HD display with a 1280 x 720 resolution. There’s a 2.5D curved glass, similar to the Redmi Note 4. It’s toughened glass, although there’s no Gorilla Glass protection. Full HD display, I think it would’ve been an overkill on a 5-inch budget smartphone. The HD display nevertheless looks fantastic in terms of color and viewing angles. The images and text looks sharp, and it is clearly one of the best displays on smartphones in this price segment.
Design
With a unibody metal construction, the Redmi 4 follows the design of Redmi Note 4. There are curved edges with a curved 2.5D glass on the front. It fits quite well in one’s single-handed usage. The build quality is excellent and it feels solid, and the matte black variant looks great and gives a very premium feel. However, the three buttons behind the display which doesn't has light and it actually finds difficult to find those but after a few days of usage you will come to know where your thumb needs to go.
Performance
Redmi 4 is Powered by the Qualcomm Snapdragon 435 octa-core processor clocked at 1.4GHz coupled with Adreno 505 GPU, the Redmi 4 comes in three memory variants – there’s one with 2 GB RAM and 16 GB internal storage, another one with 3 GB of RAM along with 32 GB of storage, and the top variant with 4 GB of RAM and 64 GB of internal storage. The mid variant that I used for this review had just over 25 GB free memory out-of-the box. In my three weeks of usage, I haven’t really found any lags. You can also play most of the high graphics games. One of the impressive things is that even while gaming, the phone did not get hot.

The 4,100 mAh battery on the Redmi 4 saves you from the constant battery charging. A day and a half on a single charge is easily manageable for most users which is impressive really. Even for higher usage, the phone managed to offer more than a day of battery life.

Hardware
Just like the Redmi Note 4, the Redmi 4 comes with an IR blaster that you can configure to use your phone as a remote control for several electronic appliances at your home. The Phone has fingerprint scanner located at the back is quite good, and apart from authentication, can also be used to take photos, especially those selfies. The dual SIM smartphone features a hybrid slot, so essentially, you can either use two SIM cards or one SIM card and one microSD card. If you need to use two SIMs and microSD card then you should opt for the top variant that offers 64 GB internal storage. While the battery life on the Redmi 4 is really impressive, it is disappointing that there is no fast charging support on the device. The issue is phones which pack in larger batteries because it takes even longer to charge the phone completely.
Camera
Xiaomi Redmi 4 comes a 13MP rear camera with LED flash that can manage some great shots with good color reproduction and sharpness.
Outdoors in daylight, the phone really surprises with details it manages to capture and overall clarity. In low light, the camera manages to click some decent shots, but there’s a lot of noise in the pictures. Even indoors, the photos take a hit and are average at best. But this is a budget smartphone we’re talking about and it does better than the most of the smartphones in this segment.
Software
The Redmi 4 runs MIUI 8 on top of Android 6.0.1 Marshmallow. MIUI is Xiaomi’s proprietary customization layer on top of Android. It is heavily skinned, and a totally different UI altogether than stock Android. MIUI comes in several useful apps like FM radio, recorder, compass, torch, and more. There’s also a security app which bundles a lot of utilities for maintenance and optimization of the software. If you’ve used a Xiaomi phone in the past, MIUI will be comfortable for you. However, if this is your first one, getting comfortable with MIUI is not much difficult.

Pricing and final thoughts
Starting at ₹6,999 for the base variant with 2 GB RAM and 16 GB internal storage, Redmi 4 has hardly anything to complain. It’s a great smartphone with solid design, Qualcomm’s newer chipset, decent camera, and great battery life. The only shortcoming of the device is lack of Android Nougat out of the box and a fast charging mode. If you can increase your budget, the middle variant at ₹8,999 which will give you 3 GB of RAM along with 32 GB of storage, The top variant at ₹10,999 with 3 GB of RAM along with 32 GB of storage is of course great too, but you can also look at other options in the market at that price or go for it only if you need all that storage.

Review on JioFi 2

Hi Everyone, Today I gonna review on JioFi 2 which i have been using for last few months.

Reliance Jio has made waves in the telecom industry, forcing the incumbent operators to revise their tariffs to keep up with the competition. But Jio has a lead over its rivals, mainly due to its free 4G internet and HD calling services until the year-end, and attractive low-cost tariffs starting April 1 2017.

Reliance launched a mobile hotspot device named as JioFi 2 with a free Jio 4G SIM was launched in India for ₹ 2499, But soon after that there was a price cut and it was being sold at ₹ 1,999/-. JioFi 2 connects upto 31 devices including smartphones and laptops at once. I have reviewed this tiny device to power our smartphones and a laptop over the course of a last few Months. JioFi is better than other potable hotspot devices? Let's find out in my review!

Design

Reliance JioFi 2 is handy and comfortable to carry around. It easily fits inside the pocket to provide Wi-Fi range to nearby devices. There is a display on the JioFi 2, which shows when the device is powered on which includes Signal Indicator, Connection Indicator, WiFi Indicator, WPS Indicator and Battery Indicator. It has power On/Off button on front side which makes quite comfortable to turn it on. It uses a MicroUSB slot on the right side and a WPS button is on its left. The back cover can be removed to access the battery, insert SIM card and a MicroSD card.

Battery

JioFi 2 is powered by a 2,300mAh battery which company claims to give 6-7 hours. However it lasts entire day that is more 12 hours with active usage. We also get an charger with JioFi which it charges up JioFi 2 within 1-2 hour. There is a LED indicator on the device which has 3 indicators that gives an idea of the battery levels. When it is charging all 3 indicators starts blinking and when it is fully charge all 3 indicator stops blinking and remains stable. JioFi 2 even has Normal Mode and Power Saver Mode.

Compatibility

JioFi 2 can connect up to 31 devices at once. JioFi 2 can connect any devices as long as they have Wi-Fi functionality like Smartphones, Laptops, PCs, Smart TVs and other internet-powered devices can be connected to JioFi 2 in order to access the internet. But in order to get a better coverage on all devices, it is recommended that users connect up to 10-15 devices at once. JioFi 2 can also convert an 2G/3G device as 4G as it can give 4G Speed to all Smartphone Devices.

Speed

Most of us will buy a JioFI device to tap into the high-speed internet. So speed is the most important thing here. I tested the JioFI primarily on a Android smartphone (Moto G4 Plus & Moto G5 Plus)On a Ookha speed test, the numbers were really good, In morning clocking over 24.86 Mbps download speed with upload speed of 6.12 Mbps and During Night clocking over 54.26 Mbps download speed with upload speed of 7.23 Mbps in Margao. Speed test may also give different results as you change your location as speed is depends on network strength that you get.

Morning Speed Test

Night Speed Test

Final Thoughts

Jiofi 2 is very powerful device that boosts your phone speed at the price of ₹1,999/-. It is actually worth buying JioFi 2 device as it very handy and also gives high speed internet that other service provider. JioFi 2 is much better than the Idea-Netsetter, Tata Photon+ in terms of battery life, speed, compatibility, etc. There are also free additional data promotion going on for those who buys New JioFi 2 Device which is very impressive. In terms of prices the Jio has the lowest plans of 4G internet pack compared to other network provider in India that may be the key for buying JioFi 2 device.

Review On Xiaomi Mi Max 2

Hi Everyone, Today I gonna review on Xiaomi Mi Max 2 which was launched recently.

After introducing the Mi Max last year, Xiaomi has now launched the Mi Max 2 at 16,999. Is it worth buying that Cell phone? Let's find out in my review!

Design

With a 6.44-inch display, the Mi Max 2 is huge in size. It’s not really a comfortable phone to use when you’re walking or juggling around with more than one tasks. Typing with one hand is a tough task. It’s a big phone and at that, it’s designed quite well. For a mid-range smartphone, the Mi Max 2 looks quite nice and the metal chassis gives it a definite premium feel. The fingerprint scanner on the back is a bit difficult to reach, especially if you have smaller hands. On most occasions, I had to use two hands to place my finger on the scanner – not entirely because it was out of reach, but because I was conscious of not dropping the phone.Overall, the Mi Max 2 is almost similar in size to its predecessor but the design and finish is definitely more refined this time.

Display

The Mi Max 2 features a Full HD 6.44-inch display which gives it a pixel density 342ppi. A higher resolution on a phone of this size would’ve been nice, but that would’ve also required a more powerful processor.

Performance

The Mi Max 2 is powered by Qualcomm’s Snapdragon 625 processor, a popular and a capable chipset for smartphones in this price segment.

The Mi Max 2 Has large 5,300 mAh battery which easily gives two days of battery life on a single charge, even if you’re a heavy. Xiaomi claims 11 hours of non-stop game play.

The Mi Max 2 also supports Qualcomm’s Quick Charge 3.0 and parallel charging, which is very important for smartphones with this big a battery else it takes annoyingly long to charge fully. Mi Max 2 takes less than two hours to go from zero to 100 percent charge, which is impressive.

Hardware

The Mi Max 2 sports a hybrid SIM slot, so you can either use two SIMs or one SIM and one microSD card. Most of the people like to use both SIMs along with microSD card, So for those people it finds difficult to decide which options should he has to choose like myself.

The Mi Max 2 includes an IR blaster so you can control your home appliances using your phone as a remote. It works with a with a variety of appliances and brands. There’s also a USB Type-C port this time around, instead of the microUSB on the Mi Max. Thankfully, the smartphone boasts stereo speakers, which offer quite a loud sound.

Camera

The camera on the Mi Max 2 is just about okay. The 12-megapixel rear camera with an f/2.2 aperture manages to capture photos with good color reproduction and contrast in daylight, but the lack of detail is very apparent. The phase detection autofocus and faster focusing works quite well in daylight. In low light camera captures average photos. Most photos are noisy, and the lack of sharpness which effects the overall image quality. The 5-megapixel front camera takes good enough selfies – in daylight, that is. Not so pretty ones in low light

Final Thoughts

The Mi Max 2 is a nice. The refined design and the incredible battery life is advantage for this phone. The camera is not the best and the processing power isn’t that good, yet at 16,999, it is a great pick for anyone who wants a phone with a large display or wants a power bank with smartphone features with affordable price.
