Top Android games of 2017

Android games seems to hit new heights every year. With the release of Android Nougat t only stands to get better and better over time. This is a roundup of best Android games of 2017. Here is a small compilation of a few of our favourite games (role-playing, platforming, sports, and more), currently available in the market.

Clash of Clans

Clash of Clans is an online multiplayer game in which players build a community , train troops, and attack other players to earn gold, elixir and Dark Elixir. There are four currencies or resources in the game. Gold and elixir can be used to build and reload defenses that protect the player from other players' attacks. Elixir and dark elixir are also used to train and upgrade troops and spells. Gems are the premium currency. Attacks are rated on a three-star scale and have a maximum timed length of three minutes.

Shadow Fight 2

Shadow Fight 2 is a 2D fighting game in which players must win the majority of 3 matches against computer-controlled opponents. The game also has RPG elements that let players upgrade their Armor, weapons, skills and magic. The game's characters are entirely silhouettes, but the animations are realistic and physics-based. The player earns gold throughout the game that can be used to buy weapons. It contains 6 different worlds, each with a main boss. The player can only play up to 5 fights before their energy must be replenished, which can only be done by waiting, paying real money, or watching a limited number of ads.

Asphalt Xtreme

The video game features a line-up of rally cars, monster trucks and a vast amount of snowy tracks and dirt. The visual interface, angular camera view and vehicular design of the game have a strong visual resemblance to the Motor Storm video game series. While the controls are the same as the previous Asphalt games, the nitro mechanics are different. Normally, there are three nitro "Segments", and using Extra nitro booster, the number of segments are increased to four. Perfect nitro is renamed as long nitro. Triple nitro activates all three or four bars at the same time for added speed. When the race starts, the vehicles are given 2 nitro segments. The vehicle game-play mechanics also have an effect on the game. Lighter vehicles like buggies and rally cars are in general aerodynamic and will pull off aerial stunts easily, while heavier vehicles like trucks and SUVs struggle to perform the same task and will also gain less boost as a result.

Badland

The player flies around a little black creature named Clony through the woods of the game. Beginning in Day 1, the game progresses through four stages which consist of Dawn, Noon, Dusk, and Night, each with a separate color scheme and new theme of traps. As the player goes through Day 1, egg shaped machines begin to come out of the water of the background. Heading into night, the machines begin to turn on and the game becomes harder as the machines become part of the dangers of the forest. Eventually the character succeeds in disabling the machines and the machines become dormant once again, until Day 2 begins it all over. Most of Day 2 is similar in plot structure, but smaller octopus-like machines begin to make themselves known and the animals in the forest begin to disappear. The last level includes saving a rabbit that was hanging by its foot and eventually coming to fly in front of a giant eye of one of the machines, leaving a cliff-hanger into possible future updates.

Injustice 2

Injustice 2 retains numerous gameplay mechanics from Injustice: Gods Among Us, including environment interaction, stage transitions, clashes, and character traits. The trait system, like before, provides a temporary buff or ability that compliments each character's playstyle. The super meter, which allows players to execute enhanced special moves and unlock powerful "super moves" when fully charged, also returns. Players can expend meter to perform new techniques, such as an evasive forward roll, which provides a way to overcome enemy keep-away tactics, or an air recovery, which lets characters escape an opponent's combo early. Most environmental attacks, which were completely unavoidable in the first Injustice game.

Clash Royale

Clash Royale is a freemium mobile tower rush video game developed and published by Supercell. The game combines elements from collectible card games, tower defences, and multiplayer online battle arena. In Clash Royale, players are ranked by their level and trophy count. The highest level is thirteen, with players levelling up by gaining more experience points through donating or upgrading cards. Trophies are won and lost through multiplayer battles; a player wins a battle by destroying more towers than the opponent or by destroying the opponent's King's Tower, resulting in an automatic "three-crown" victory.
